Walfred the Troll

Lost Troll

River Troll: Walfred may spend a Fate Point to get +1d6 to all rolls dealing with bridges and waterways.

Pondy: Walfred is greenish and hunched, with large hands and webbed feet. He's definitely not human. While he can put on a basic outfit and disguise himself, anybody looking too close will notice his trollyness.
Temperate: Walfred gets sick if it's too hot or too dry outside. He prefers cooler climes.
Err. No, wait…: Walfred can be a bit absent-minded sometimes, losing focus, or remembering things blatantly wrong.

Personal History

Walfred once lived underneath a covered bridge in the wilderness, over a smallish river in a wooded northern area of Germany. The bridge was a point between two neighbouring villages, and was often traversed by travelers going from one village to the other. Here he lived for years and years, enjoying his peaceful existence by the river and under the wonderful bridge.

One day in the late 18th century, he discovered a Way into the Library, found through the south end of the bridge. There he learned to read and speak English, while living still under the bridge in his nights. One day he tried to go home, and found that the Way was shut; on the other end, workers had demolished his old bridge to make way for a safer, modern suspension bridge. Walfred is now a wandering being, searching for a new place to call home.
