Simone Rubyflower Bird

Pagan dead-speaker

Deadspeaking: Simone can spend a Fate Point and, given some in-character time (half-hour or up), up Lore or Scholarship by +4. Alternatively, she can spend 2 Fate Points for the same benefit, immediately.

Tree hugger Simone's quite comfortable around natural areas, and wouldn't dare harm any part of one needlessly.
Technophobic Has no idea what to do with computers and such.
Religious Practices her own brand of pagan-wicca-ish earth-worship.

Personal History

Simone Rubyflower Bird, born Simona Campbell, was a free-spirit: an artist with tendencies towards paganism and wicca. Slowly, she got involved with some unusual people, and one night during Burning Man, she collapsed and woke up 500 miles away on Eagle Mountain, Utah. She swears that during this time, she died, “crossed over”, and somehow returned to the living.
Since then, Simone has lived as a wandering vagrant: learned how to ride a motorcycle; hunted and lived with Inuits in Alaska; backpacked through Nepal; and lived off the grid in the Mojave Desert for two years. She claims that she's walked on the other side, and it is this that allows her to do what she does, which is talk to the dead.
Of course, she is unreliable, the rituals she does to invoke her power tend to change every time she does them. Rarely, she'll be able to get a word or two of advice or inspiration quickly. (The “Spirit World”, as she calls it, is particularly hard to contact. But she can do it.)
She found the Serpent's Hand by accident, and joined out of curiosity and maybe loneliness.
