Ori Takasu

Ori(折) Takasu

Bullet(train)Time Dude.

Quicker than the Hand: Ori is able to slow time around himself for brief periods, though at a cost. By spending a fate point, Ori can take two actions in a round (two attacks, or an attack and an action that wouldn't otherwise be allowed). Alternately, Ori can spend a Fate Point to get two defense rolls against each attack in a single round. However, in doing so, Ori loses his next round as the temporal snap-back staggers him.

Shinkansen Speed Getting from point A to point B is not a problem for Ori. Whether it's carts, or crowds he'll find a way through, over, or around it.
Worst jetlag ever As a result of over-using his abilities, not to mention almost constant traveling, Ori suffers frequent narcoleptic fits, as well as the occasional temporal whiplash.
Tokyo Tour-guide Ori was born and raised in tokyo. He can find just about anything within it's borders.

Suit, tie, pants, glasses, and a briefcase.

An ornate but functional Japanese Naginata. Family heirloom. Not something he just carries around all the time of course.

Personal History

Ori was just your average young Japanese salary-man in nearly every way. Smartly dressed, hard-working, and always, always, always punctual. Except one day he wasn't and he just barely missed a train to work. In his frustration, he banged his fist a few times against the train door. He felt a short-lived relief when it opened. That relief was almost immediately replaced with trepidation. He was looking, not at the inside of a train, but at the Library. The feelings of trepidation and adventure remain with Ori still. Shortly thereafter, Ori scrounged up enough money to kick-start his own small business on the side, offering his services as an Earth-side courier, and liaison for those who use the Ways to complete (mostly)legitimate business. He makes a decent sum from his side-job, but is is really only it for the adventure. As for his abilities? He's had them for as long as he can remember. He was rather surprised when he figured out everyone couldn't do what he did. Oh, and would you believe he's into spears in a big way? ((Wink, wink.)) He's actually quite skilled with them.
After winning a wager with Jessie Cartwright, he was given four library Cards. He has since returned them to their owners.
