Mark Antonescu

Mark Antonescu

Crippled hunter who now hunts knowledge.

Hunter Sense
Whenever Mark is hunting something, his adrenaline kicks in and it is easier for him to make rolls related to hunting said object. If he has seen/possessed the object, he get's +2, and if he has never seen/possessed it, he gets +1.

Mark is in a wheel chair, he can move pretty fast when has got some momentum, but he can't turn on a dime and has a hard time going up steps.

Mark took up gambling after being crippled, and still takes up pretty much all opportunities to this day. He made a good deal of money in the stock market doing this, and has gotten pretty good over the years.

Mark has spent a lot of time studying things, whenever somebody is discussing scholarly things, he probably knows something about it, unless he doesn't.

Personal History

Mark is about 5'10", but is a lot shorter when sitting in his wheel chair.
A picture of him before his injury:

Mark was a professional hunter for most of his life. He comes from the 19th century, and explored much of Africa and India looking for rare game to hunt. He is generally outgoing and friendly, but is suspicious of people who use magic, believing them to be sorcerers. He kept a collection of journals and books on an estate at his house. He also enjoyed exploring ruins and reading old tomes. After an unfortunate run in with a pride of lions, he lost all control of his legs. He retired from hunting, and started hunting books instead. He quickly became a renown archaeologist for literature. He came to the Library after discovering a buried Library in the middle of the desert, and discovered a Way into the Library. He came back the following day equipped to survive a long time, and has dedicated the rest of his life to reading and discovering great history books within the Library. He hates discussing his cripple and secretly believes he is less of a man because of it.
