Lucas Maddox

Name

Lucas Maddox

Concept

Houseplant

Power

I am a plant: Lucas, through exposure to SCP-1539, is a houseplant, at least in the eyes of everyone around him. He walks like a human and talks like a human, but to anyone or thing that is concerned, he is a houseplant, and will be treated as such. Whenever Lucas performs a Sneak maneuver, he can tag the resulting aspect for +3 instead of +2, because he has the element of surprise.

Aspects

These leaves can grow up to three feet long: Being a plant can make it a bit difficult to interact with people under normal terms, and as such Lucas has taken to acting like a split-leaf philodendron. He tends to stand still and be inconspicuous, particularly in wet, shady areas.
And I would have gotten away with it, too: Nobody suspects a plant. Nobody. At least, that's what Lucas thinks. Those with experience in the paranormal might think otherwise, and Lucas hasn't completely caught onto this yet.
Don't mind me: Lucas assumes that he is invited into any conversation by virtue of supposedly not having the ability to be intrusive. He likes listening in on things.

Personal History

Lucas has been visiting the Library for four years now, after initial containment of SCP-1539 was unsuccessful and his team utterly failed to recognize him. He walked away from the site, and the Foundation never saw him again. Eventually, he wandered his way to the Library. He's notable for being a perpetually stunted specimen that seems to move around a lot. Things tend to go missing near this particular plant, but clearly normal plants can't steal anything, so it's probably a coincidence.
