Jordan 'Lazarus' Foghorn

Jordan 'Lazarus' Foghorn.

Slightly Possessed New York Subway Engineer

Stand Clear Of The Doors: By expending a fate point, little Lazarus can reflect magical assaults that Foghorn successfully defends against, back at the attacking enemy. This include magical attacks that would cause damage to Mind. The target of the reflected attack does roll defense, with the DC being the result of the original attack roll.

Ethereal Infusion: The bond chaining Foghorn to Lazarus, and vice-versa is very slowly melding the two together, mind, and soul. This has left Foghorn with an increased fortitude against magical assault, but a vulnerability to all things that traditionally harm the dearly not-entirely departed. Symbols of faith, prayers, or rituals meant to exorcise or lay to rest spirits leave the duo discomfited. Blessed weapons, of course, are that much more potent.
Drill Bits and Dark Teachings: Lazarus isn't the most educated of spirits, but he knows the Lore fairly well, whereas Foghorn's know-how, him being an engineer, is chiefly centered around mechanics. The knowledge isn't so much shared, at it is squeezed together. Occasionally, this makes it difficult for tidbits from either of the pools to be dredged up.
Locomotive Man: Jordan is a lot like the trains he works on. He's heavyset, moves best when there aren't sharp turns involved, and in 'collisions', it's most often the other party who ends up worse off.

Personal History

A small time, if stubborn, spirit got it into his head one day that it wanted something NEW. Something Different. Something Tangible. Something Corporeal. And so the spirit, his name is Lazarus, went looking for a host to overshadow. Unfortunately, Lazarus had never been too hot at the whole possession deal. After many, four to be exact, failures at wresting control of various bodies, little Laz, contracted some assistance from a rather shady sorcerer, who, in return for a chunk of Laz's essence, assisted the under-strength umbra in binding itself to a body. Unfortunately, even with the mage's assistance, Laz only just managed to hook himself into his new host. So tenuous was Laz's presence, and influence directly after the 'possession' that his 'victim', Foghorn remained unaware of his stowaway's presence for some time. Eventually, Lazarus cemented his hold enough to…pester Foghorn from a teeny-tiny corner of the man's mind. After much shock, alarm, trying of medication, quitting of medication, therapy, quitting of therapy, etc., Foghorn came to accept Laz as just another part of his life. After a few weeks and many failures, Laz stopped his futile attempts at over-riding Foghorn's consciousness. He found himself gradually warming to the idea of cooperation, not that he had ay other option, just as his host was. At the little spirit's urging, one day, Foghorn performed the hustle in front of a Arby's bathroom door, and stepped on through to the library. It's here, that Foghorn, and Lazarus are looking for a way to break the bond that has cemented them together, with the caveat that Lazarus get his missing chunk of essence back.

Jordan, please pay the wreck no mind
