Gemric the Wonder Kid
Gemric.png

Name

Gemric the Wonder Kid

Concept

A young boy made of gold, silver and jewels

Power

Irresistible Force: Being made of metal, Gem can pack quite a punch or block out other attacks quite easily. Drop a fate point for +1 to Melee Attack, Physical Defense, or Athletics.

Aspects

Just a Kid: Though Gem has lived for many years he is still a child and possesses the mentality of a child. He is somewhat naive and overly trusting, and can throw the occasional temper tantrum.

Silverware: Gem has silver covering several parts of his body, and can easily tarnish if not polished often. There's also the fact that those that lust after money and riches may be inclined to steal him or rip off chunks of him. Then again, they could just make him cry, since he cries diamonds. He also weighs about 250 kilograms, or 550 pounds.

Smith Made: Since Gem is not made of flesh but of metal and gems, an engineering roll is required to heal him instead of a medical roll.

Personal History

Once upon a time in a land far, far away there was a very skilled gold smith. He made the crowns of kings and coins of peasants. And in time his sculptures won him the heart of a fair maiden. The gold smith made many gifts for this young maiden, and soon they wed, and decided to have a child. Yet, no matter how hard they tried, the maiden never became pregnant. They were sad then.

One day the gold smith decided that if they could have no child in the natural way, he would make a child. He spent many days in the forge, crafting gold, metals, and even gems together. When he was done he stepped back to see the glistening boy he had made. Gemric, he called the boy, and from then on the gold smith and his wife had a child.

However, while Gem was immortal his parents were not, and he watched as his parents slowly became old and died, while he still remained a young boy. He was struck with grief then, and wandered away from his father's forge in misery. He walked for many, many days until he bumped into a door. He had not seen the door before, and indeed it seemed odd to just be sticking out of the ground. But he didn't know where else to go, and so he opened up the door and stepped through.

One day the Library was suddenly stormed by large, reptilian monsters. While mostly everyone was able to get out, Ori awoke too late and ended up being stuck in the middle of the throng of monsters. He was able to flee but not before becoming gravely injured. A monster pounced on Ori and attempted to bite through the poor guy's neck.

Right before the monster did, Gem was able to knock it out of the way. The monster began attacking Gem, and although the Wonder Kid fought ferociously the monster was able to tear Gem apart. He died, and gold dust spilled out of his body. His corpse now lies in Greg's beach shack.
