Casey Jacobs

Casey Jacobs

Loosely based off Jekyll and Hyde, Casey is the kind of man who only wants to live a normal life, but fails each time he tries.

No! Don't Run Away: Whenever Casey is particular frightened or anxious, he will accidentally unleash a wave of psychic energy that cause people around him to become terrified and attempt to flee. This ability can only affect two people at a time. Affected Characters must roll MDef with a DC equal to their current MDef score

Did You See That? Casey is something of a flighty individual. His attention tends to shift around a lot, and sometimes he ends up just gazing off into space.

I Just Wanna Check: Casey is not happy with his "condition," and will always make investigating possible cures a priority over anything else.

Freelancer: Casey is still in intermittent contact with a few of his colleagues at PL, Inc. Occasionally, he lends them a hand, but he's always wary about other factions in the paranormal world.

Personal History

Casey, or Case, was born to a regular family in Anytown, USA. He attended college at Purdue University and graduated with a degree in computer engineering. He was quickly hired by Prometheus Labs, Inc. After a few years working with PL, Casey volunteered himself as a test subject for a prototype that was supposed to influence the emotions of all people within a certain range. As things often do at Prometheus Labs, the machine failed. The machine is now focused permanently on Casey and is set permanently on Fear. He found the Library after watching a terrified person enter the place.

Casey is inherently a friendly guy. He is always willing to help a person, but he tries to stay away from larger crowds because crowds have a tendency to be afraid of him. Casey is still friendly with his former PL colleagues and amiable with the Serpent's Hand; however, all other paranormal factions he tries to steer clear of.
